VoiceCrafter implements the option to create SoundWaves using a single right click in the content browser. From there, there are 2 workflows you can use, depending on whether you already have a script in spreadsheet format or not.
Start from Script
- Create a new Sound Wave by right clicking the Content Browser and clicking on new Sound Wave in the category “Sounds” assets.
- Feel free to leave the name of the SoundWave as it is, as it will be updated from the script.
- After hitting enter, a new file selection window will appear. Use it to choose the selected script to import (in TSV format, more in the Script Importer section).
- The Script Importer window will show up. Use it to import your script in spreadsheet format.
- (Optional) If the imported script has file name fields, all SoundWaves will be created automatically with the corresponding names.
- If no file names were imported, it will use temporary filenames to create all the new SoundWaves and assign them their corresponding script text line.
- Use the Recorder Window or the TTS Window to create the audio content for the new SoundWaves.
- After finishing, either save the files using the “Save” button, or in case you are using temp file names, you can use the “Save & Rename” window to automatically generate proper names using a configurable naming scheme.
Start from Scratch
- Create a new Sound Wave by right clicking the Content Browser and clicking on new Sound Wave in the category “Sounds” assets.
- Use whatever name you choose for the new SoundWave. This will be the base name for all new Sound Waves created during this session.
- After hitting enter, it will take you straight to the Recorder Window.
- Create new Sound Waves at any point using the button “New Sound Wave”. This will create a new asset with the temporary name of the original Sound Wave plus a number in format OriginalName_1.
- Create the content by either recording, or you can manually enter the script text for each SoundWave for the TTS generation. This can be done with the text window that appears when the mouse hovers over the upper part of the waveform display area of each track.
- After finishing, either save the files using the “Save” button, or by using the “Save & Rename” window to automatically generate proper names using a customizable naming scheme.
