Text-To-Speech generator, powered by Eleven Labs™
Eleven Labs is a company that creates natural-sounding speech synthesis and text-to-speech software using artificial intelligence and deep learning.
They are quickly becoming one of the industry’s leading solutions provider.
In order to use this function, you need to have an account with ElevenLabs, but don’t worry, they have a free tier!
1.- Create a new account (if needed)
If you don’t already have an existing account, go to elevenlabs.io and create one. It’s free, it’s fast, and you can use your google account to register even faster.
2.- Copy your account’s API Key
After logging in, in the upper right corner, click on your profile picture, then click on “Profile Settings”, click on the eye icon to display your API key, and then copy it.
3.- Paste your API Key in the TTS Generator
Paste your Key in the API Key field, hit enter, and it will connect automatically.
4.- Choose the desired voice
Choose amongst the available voices from the dropdown menu. Each voice has a sample that you can listen to, as well as a collection of tags descriptive of the voice style.
You can also use the “filter” field to filter through the voice’s names and tags.
5.- Set the additional settings
Set the additional settings before continuing.
- Number of Takes: The number of variations it will generate for each line. You can then choose which one(s) to keep, and which will be the main one. Just keep in mind that for each take it needs to generate the text again, so keep an eye of your character limit count!
- Variation: This allows to generate more nuances in the different takes, but going too far can produce unnatural results. Note: This is the “Stability” parameter of the ElevenLabs API, but inverts the range for a more intuitive usage for audio users.
- Format: Whether to generate the audio in compressed MP3 format, or uncompressed WAV. Keep in mind that WAV is available only in higher tiers of the ElevenLabs subscriptions (Independent Publisher and higher).
- Generate All Script Lines: Whether or not to generate TTS for all the script, or only for the currently open line of text.
6.- Generate TTS
Click on “Generate”, relax, and let the plugin do the work for you!
