Failed to open Audio Input:
This error indicates that while VoiceCrafter can identify the audio device, it is unable to establish a connection with the selected audio input. This issue often relates to the device’s sample rate settings. To resolve this:
- Access the audio device’s control panel.
- Set the sample rate to 48 kHz or match it to the desired recording sample rate.
- Restart VoiceCrafter and attempt to reconnect.
If the initial attempt is unsuccessful, experiment with different sample rate configurations until a stable connection is achieved.
Pulse-like noises during recording:
These disruptions are likely due to compatibility issues between the low-latency nature of realtime audio and Unreal Engine’s processing environment.
To mitigate this, we suggest experimenting with different buffer sizes in your audio device’s control panel settings.
Sometimes, using larger buffer sizes such as 1024 in your device’s settings may actually introduce artifacts when interfacing with Unreal Engine and VoiceCrafter. We typically recommend a buffer size of 128 or 256 to reduce these compatibility issues and ensure smoother audio capture.
